eranaës is...
With ERANAËS, former Second Reign vocalist Stephan Lipp kicked off his solo project to create extraordinary sound cosmos with top-class guest musicians, each bringing their character and playing style to the table. For the release of the first single ℝ on 10/06/2022, the Swiss musician signed with Dr. Music Records and has gained the support of Edge Of Paradise vocalist Margarita Monet and keyboard wizard Derek Sherinian (i. a. Dream Theater, Joe Bonamassa, Whitesnake).
But the other members with Eluveitie drummer Alain Ackermann and guitarist Simon Burri (Rage Of Light, Vorax, Sinverse) are also quite impressive. Producer Mack Schildknecht (China, The Three Sum, Fueled By Grace) was not only twisting the knobs but also contributing bass. Chris Beyerlein from Stem Masters (Schandmaul, Fiddler’s Green, Stahlmann) subsequently provided the finishing touches to the mastering with his tight, tidy and powerful, imposing sound.

Songwriting & Vocals
eranaës is the brainchild of Stephan Lipp (CH). He is the founder of the project, writes and arranges the songs and contributes the lead vocals. The idea for starting eranaës came up after listening to Arjen Lucassens Star One oeuvre “REVEL IN TIME”. Stephan liked the idea of a musical project with different musical contributors for the songs, thus eranaës was formed.

Vocals
With Margarita Monet (USA), eranaës was able to win a singer par excellence. With her outstanding and independent voice, she gives “AFTER THE RAIN” an additional dimension, which is otherwise only granted to her regular band EDGE OF PARADISE.
Derek
Keyboards
Derek Sherinian (USA). Living legend. There is hardly a band/act that Derek hasn’t refined with his keyboards and synths! The secret weapon of KISS, his own project PLANET X as well as DREAM THEATER and the latest all star band SONS OF APOLLO. They all rely on the “string wizard” with the keys.

Arsen
Duduk
The Duduk is a traditional armenian flute. Arsen Petrosyan (AM) is leading his own quartett, playing traditional armenian music. But he also collaborated with well known musicians from east and west, such as Steve Hacket (ex GENESIS). Being an ambassador for his instrument and his country, Arsen added a wonderful Duduk solo to “After The Rain” (Piano Version).
Alain
Drums
The drums are contributed by Alain Ackermann (CH), who usually swings his sticks for the folk metal band ELUVEITI as well as TVINNA. The filigree and yet powerful drumming gives the song a slight progressive note.

Guitar
Simon Burri (CH) is responsible for the guitar, who is busy playing the strings in various bands such as SINVERSE, VORAX and RAGE OF LIGHT.
Alain
Guitar
Alain Schneble (CH) provided an extraordinary, yet soulful guitar solo for the “After The Rain” Original version. Being the guitarist of melodic metal band SECOND REIGN, where Alain and Stephan shared the stage. So with Alain, a little bit of the past was taken to the future.

Mack
Production & Mixing & Bass
Mack Schildknecht (CH) contributed the bass and thus completed the foundation of the song. As a guitarist, he accompanied the Swiss hard rock veterans CHINA for years and was able to celebrate some successes with his own band FULED BY GRACE. He also is responsible for recording and mixing “AFTER THE RAIN”.
Mack is eranaës‘ secret weapon and contributes significantly to the sound of the songs.

Mastering
Once again, Chris Beyerlein (GER) from Stem Masters knows how to transform the songs into thunderous forces of nature, but without neglecting their subtleties. He did this not only with acts like FEUERSCHWANZ, J.B.O. or STAHLMANN, but also with eranaës.

Artwork
Being friends with Christophe Terraz (CH) since their teens, Stephan asked him to create a unique artwort for “AFTER THE RAIN”. Christophe being a known and respected artist didn’t have to think twice and created a piece of art in his very own style. Win-Win for Stephan, as not only he now has a cover for eranaës first single, but also a one-of-a-kind wall decoration.
